As more and more people are trained to work with ERP systems, it follows that many of them will consider careers in the field. We believe this is why many people ask how much ERP consultants make.
Making More Money as an ERP Consultant
Can you make more money as an ERP consultant than you might in other tech industry roles?
ERP consultants are unusual. They are definitely tech industry workers themselves, but most of the businesses they will work for in their career are not tech companies. This makes it difficult to price a consultant in comparison to other tech roles.
Thankfully, we can look at the market as it currently stands. (This article will certainly need to be updated in the future!)
At the present time, most consultant roles using ERP systems receive salaries of between 50.000€ and 70.000 €.
There are outliers – novice consultants may have significantly lower salaries, while a consultant with many years of experience and a number of additional competencies will command a higher fee – but for the most part the market is in that range.
However, we don’t expect this to fall as the number of consultants rises, because the number of businesses using ERP systems is only growing – and at a faster rate than the number of consultants increases!
This makes this sector of tech consultancy one of the most secure, but we still advise anyone working in the field to add additional software to their skillset. By that, we don’t mean additional ERPs but rather the systems they integrate with.
