Having just switched to IFS as their main ERP system, the business lacked internal IFS knowledge and skills. Despite support from the system vendor and their partner, they needed extra IFS skills to fill the knowledge gap. They sought an IFS specialist who would have experience in the supply chain module, Sales, CRM, and rentals as well as willing to travel to all 8 sites for a full-week of in-person support during the rollout.
Main Objectives:
- Complete the IFS Cloud system implementation within a 12-month timeframe and allocated budget.
- Deploy the IFS supply chain module efficiently.
- Enhance management of sales orders within the system.
Recruitment Process

With prior rapport established, we engaged to provide the client with bespoke project support. This ensured a clear grasp of their unique needs, cutting down on additional expenses from the implementation partner and minimizing supplier costs.
Candidate Evaluation
Presenting 10 candidates, we tailored choices based on expertise, availability, location, and certifications. After internal deliberation, the shortlist was refined to 5 top contenders for interviews. From there, one standout candidate emerged for further discussion and finalisation.
The Ideal Fit
The selected candidate met proximity, experience, and budget criteria, with proficiency in IFS supply chain, Sales, CRM, and rentals. Secured on a 6-month contract, they'd also gain exposure to the IFS Cloud system (23R1).
TURNAROUND
The Result
With the additional resources in place, the project was able to go ahead on time and within budget. The new IFS specialist hired also improved company morale and brought efficiency to the team. Having already existing relationships with IFS experts currently on this project, the contractor could hit the ground running and be as effective as possible from day one.
Following the initial 6-month period, the successful candidate’s contract was extended for a further 6-month period.
