The Requirement

Following the successful implementation of IFS Apps EE, the company recognised the need to enhance its team with specific skill sets, both functional and technical. This was to strengthen their small internal IFS department, which comprised of freelance consultants previously placed by IT Works, along with in-house end-users. They also had plans to upgrade to IFS Cloud within the next 12 months.

While the company already had a freelance IFS Service and Maintenance specialist supporting the project during pre and post-go-live phases, they aimed to bring in a permanent specialist. This specialist would have specific expertise in the Service and Maintenance function as well as facilitating communication and coordination between end-users and business processes.

Main Objectives:

  • Strengthen the team’s capabilities.
  • Bring in experts to enhance the company's IFS knowledge.
  • Establish a reliable team setup before moving to IFS Cloud.
  • Shift budget towards future needs.

The Hiring Process

The hiring process involved two interviews for each candidate. First, they had a casual chat to see how well the candidates' experience matched the job and to learn more about their project knowledge and career goals. The second interview happened in-person onsite, where they discussed project needs in more detail and asked for examples of past work.
